Obviously this review is faulty for these reasons:
1. It is an incomplete map (and sady, will never be completed)
2. Terrain got a 3.0... it was made by Deathknight and me, and was the very first 3D skyscrapers EVER used in a map. The fact that its a 3 really shows the quality of the review.
3. Complexity was given a 3, although there were several complex triggers about the special abilities and attack moves which the reviewer "failed" to notice.
4. Orginality was given a low score, even though its the most orginal map involving skyscrapers, the dynamic matrix storyline and clouds (all techniques not seen in any other map usually).
The map is incredibly detailed with the lines and 2 way roads which have intersections as well. There are poles, garbage cans, windows on the skyscrapers, and much more. We even recreated "Le Cheatau" in the bottom left of the map.
The map reviewer took no notice of the descriptions left by the author (myself) by stating:

I can take criticism, but this is just murdering the map. This is a horrible image for the website, seeing how a reviewer would rate so low on an uncomplete map, even with MANY new concepts and features seen NO WHERE else.
My conclusion, is that the reviewer, MillenniumArmy, felt that I shouldn't have left SEN leaving it unfinished. Instead of accepting it, he decided to "thank" me for all my efforts by making the map appear really awful, so I would come back and have an insentive to fix it. This abuse of power should be unacceptable.
My recommendation is for the review to be removed, and MillenniumArmy's powers be removed, seeing how it is evident that he is incapable of using them responsively.
I am incredibly insulted by the fact that SEN Commandos (no offense to Aster) could actually compete with such a map. By the way MillenniumArmy, its been raved all over the community by people better than you. It has gotton over 2800 downloads to date.

Why was it even submitted for review if it wasnt finished.
Millemnium will probably get stripped of his powers anyway. Hes been doing a bad job on the map team.

Don't act as if I've never done it before. I'm the person who started the map review system (and IP made a fabulous script for it). I'm keeping this though for IP to decide what to do. No one has requested for map reviews since like 3 weeks ago and I made a poll wether Map team should review maps with or without permision and the scores were like 15 people yes 2 no.
So we decided to start picking out random maps and we reviewed them.
Yesterday I thought that all Maps under the Featured Maps/UMS category should be reviewed before all other since those are the "official" SEN maps and those should be the first to be reviwed. I PM'ed High and Millennium to make reviews of those maps. I won't be able to help them becasue my cd-drive is corrupted and I don't got Starcraft for some time.
Now what they did at each review I'm not responsible for because I have nothing over what each of them wrote but I am responsible on them doing the review.
BTW: Why do you call MA Joe? Call him by the name everyone here knows him by because people will go "Who the hell is Joe"?

How exactly do you test maps then for the dldb?
Anyways... no more reviews without authors permission. I thought about it a little and it's doesn't fit in the ultimate scheme of things to go around randomly reviewing maps.
Author makes kick ass map.
Author wants more recogniation for his work and hopes more people will play it.
Author submits his map for review.
Reviewer thinks the map does kick ass and it gets a good score.
People see this good score and decide to give the map a chance.
I for one would rather look at some reviews rather than just randomly browse a database. Like when looking for games to rent/buy/dl, I check reviews at ign.com or something similiar. Reviewing maps and reviewing more maps would just make the reviews section as cluttered as the dldb.

My neighboor checks that the maps are real in the DLDB because I go use his PC. I send the maps via e-mail and then we play them. Afterwards he sends the maps to my e-mail and I make screenshots/approve.
I can't make a full review because that takes hours to play the map several times and then actually make the review while you are playing it is quite hard.

Its not your fault. I don't care that he reviewed my map, but there were to many obvious flaws in it (even though it was an alpha, it sure as hell did not deserve a 3). I think the reason people couldnt request reviews was because it only lets you request one map. I think people should be able to request more than that
