Staredit Network -> Concepts -> A new Way To kill units
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Staredit.Net Essence on 2004-12-30 at 15:38:24
Heres an idea i made up. In sniper games people use ghost to kill and Defiler to use its dark spawn
Well what about feedback from dark arhcons how about using there feedback to kill enemies

ADDITION:
Why won't anyone post?
Has this been done?

I have never seen a sniper map with this. I've seen some spell maps with it, but I never thought of using it for a Sniper map. It's a neat idea.

I didn't play the map yet, but if someone feedbacks a lot of units, won't they take less damage and be harder to kill because they'll have less energy?

I have a trigger where everyone has Infiny energy so it doesn't matter

Or instead of making a trigger, you can set the energy usage for feedback to nothing.

But when you use feedback it takes all energy so since my Dark arhcons have 1000 hp and 200 energy once you take its energy it has 0 and it does 200 damage so if you feedback again it does little damage (Depending on its energy)

No, feedback takes all of your oponents energy, not the casters.

I think it is a great idea, mostly cause it is original, and has [mostly] never been done. Now it needs a good map to really show it off.

Way back in the day I used this method to make a Tag map, worked well smile.gif

edit: Removed a pointless quote I made, I also labeklled it with the wrong person (sorry Chill)

By the way, I've seen some old maps where units have 9999 total energy, and I haven't figured out how it's done, does anyone know how to do it? If i make the spell cost 9999, it just goes to 15, which is weird, but w/e

Well.. it's not really a new "way to kill" But it's barelly a new kind of Sniper map.. Great find though...

Yeah, but then the ones who were attacked are unable to use feedback for a bit, unless they always get energy aswell, doesn't really matter if there's a cost, but they'll take no damage if they have no energy.

Oh, sorry Chill, I must have copied and pasted the wrong sn, I'll fix that right away.

I haven't seen many maps with feedback used. I suppose it would be really neat to people who didn't know what feedback did, and it excite some peolpe who have never really used it before into wondering why they never used it.

Next, someone will make a map where you have to broodling everyone elses stuff without your queen dying, lol
