Blood of The Dragon... map maker well known to me.
In his game: Squad Support (not that crappy wanna-be Jungle map by someone else)
He gives the comps freakin' insane AI. I have an incredibly positive notion that he just does something like.

null
Trigger
Players:
¤ Comp
Conditions:
¤ Comp commands at least 1 barracks
¤ Force (Humans) bring 0 of any unit to Location (Comp Town).
Actions:
¤ Create 50 marines at Location (Comp Town).


Or.. When comp commands few harvesters, after 15 minutes, create 15 harvesters. (If humans raid comp SCV's)

Or something to that degree...
Or is it just freakin' awesome comp AI?

Any ideas welcome.

I use triggers like that all the time. Yet I don't make outrageous numbers like that.

To start with the A.I isn't really all that great. I've made better.. It's all about the conditions that the computer starts with. I'm not 100% sure we're talking about the same version because there are many, but in all the ice versions I have played the computer starts with a reasonable amount of workers and a powerful outter defense, as well as 999999999 ore + vespeen. The first waves of units that attack (Marines, Zerglings, Zealots) are all creation triggers. After that the computer just tech's up through the stages. I'm just about positive its only a regular "Expansion Insane." You will notice that even if workers are destroyed at a base that faction keeps building, most notable at the Terran base.

If you want to make an even better A.I then I would suggest that you make an expansive base for a computer with atleast 2 of every building ample supplies and more resources then could ever be used. The only problem is you have to make it so the human plays have a chance, naturally if a human starts with a command center and 4 scvs and is attacked by 24 Battle Cruisers in the first 5 minutes you won't get very happy players.
