Let me know if you encounter any bugs during your use of the upgraded shoutbox...

Not just Firefox. Mozilla and Netscape too. They all run off the same engine. So think of it as knocking off 3 browsers at once.

It automaticaly refreshes? Cool. I like it how the whole page doesn't need to refresh when you add a shout.

I don't like how when you send a message, in the text box it is still there so you need to erase it to make a new shout.

My guess is no. Considering you can configure how often it refreshes in the control panel.

I use Firefox but now I just shouted and it erases so its all good.
And yes it does refresh when people post. Or it just does it automatically after a few mintues or so.

well instead of distorting the page layout, it'll just add a vertical bar...

I'm not sure... but I think the problem might just be with you.

Currently the default is to launch the shoutbox in an iframe... it's suppose to only refresh itself which is quite nice when making a shout or writing a long post to stop and do a quick shout at the same time.
Try changing your default to something else, perhaps, regular. It might be ugly, but I'll fix it eventally (still got to add my old code in)

Lol, nvm it stopped doing that. Yea I changed it to a very large number and it didn't help. But yea it's only refreshing inside the Shoutbox now.

no, but maybe it does and I don't notice since I have a very fast net connection... but what does happens is that I hear a click and if I'm exactly at the middle of writing a post the writing cursor jumps back...
