Syria however, remains a threat. Is attacking every Middle-Eastern country with terrorist links a good idea? Also, just how much of a threat does Syria pose? Long range weapons are certainly not within their reach.
I'm sorry to hear that your brother was killed, but if you sign up for the army, you should expect to die for your country.
Also, I found it hard to read through your post as it had no punctuation (except on 'U.S.', strangely enough), and poor spelling and grammar. I guess that's just because you were angry when you wrote it and/or are pretty young, but it's difficult to take someone seriously when they disobey the rules of English.

Well, maybe we should, but we're going already fighting two wars (iraq and afghanistan). If we use up all of our troops in all 3 areas, we'll have none for ourselves and will have to resort to drafting.
We really shouldn't be fighting a war in Iraq until the Afghanistan one is finished with. Getting Osama Bin Laden is MUCH MUCH more important than monitoring Iraqi activities in Iraq especially when so many are opposed in doing so.

People don't seem to get it... We have no reservists left upon which to call. All of our troops not stationed in America have been sent to Iraq or Afghanistan. We don't have the resources to fight a third war.

Ok, you and us are only in Iraq until the elections there, hopefully. Then you Americans can build your military back up and attack the next country on your blacklist.

Hah! We're going to need to keep an occupying (not residual) force in Iraq for several more years! There's no way we can withdraw anytime soon, elections or not. If we did there'd be civil war and anarchy. The whole election thing is a joke, anyway. Like the Iraqis are going to want to go out and vote when insurgents have announced that they intend to bomb election sites. Plus, the candidates are all American sympathizers, we wouldn't let them on the ballot if they weren't. Problem is, the Iraqis hate us. It's one ed up situation, and George W. Bush brought it upon us.

Well, we promised to leave after the elections were over, so we will not be renéging on any bargains if we just walk out of Iraq after the elections. People will be angry if we walk out, and people will be angry if we stay.
