can someone please tell me how to make a grid using Gimp or photoshop cs. or maybe give a link to a tutorial.

For a second when i saw this topic in the forum, i thought u meant the grid/coordinate system for starcraft rofl.

I believe this has something to do with photoshop art.

They are pretty simple, this is with Photoshop

1. Open a document with a tranperant background and abour 5x5 pixels.
2. With the pencil tool, make the left collum and top row of the image black
3. Go to edit > Define pattern
4. Then open the document you want to add the grid into
5. Get the paintbucket tool and chnage it to "Fill: Pattern" and select your pattern under the Pattern: Drop down box thingy
6. Fill your image! (Might be an idea to make a new layer and fill that)

Or just highlight 1 px in from the sides... and press shift + ctrl + i, then alt + del
