Hey... I was working on a map since a few days until i realised there were something going wrong.

Apparently a location is corrupted. I tryed opening it with multiple editors... Default StarEdit, then Xtra Editor, then SCMDraft... everytime i change the layer to Location and moove the view over the corrupted location the editor crashes... Windows xP just says it's gonna be closed because there were an error.

Also, when I make a trigger that uses a location and browse through the list, as soon as I'm sopposed to see the name of the corrupted location the editor crashes. My problem is that I was planning to finish the locations at the end of the map, so I took multiple backups of the file but I wasn't touching the locations so I didn't realize there were something going wrong... So my last backup without the corrupted location is back when there were almost nothing in my map.

I'm wondering if it's possible to fix this bug in the best case, or just remove all locations by hex editing or something... or just copy the terrain, units, and triggers to a new map somehow?

Thanks a lot.

You must of gone over the limit with an unsupported editor is my guess. The best way to do it is to hex your file, which you may want to ask Heimdal at his website here. Ask nicely but dont EXPECT help. Hexing is time consuming. If he cant help you, then theres nothing you can really do. Just another reason to keep backups at some point of your map wink.gif

Use GUEdit. It has a corrupted location fixer thingy.

Really? Never knew that; that could be very useful. Even if i reach the highiest amount allowed, a simple trigger process enables future use!
