I don't know if this has been mentioned or anything, but I didn't find any posts about it in here, although I may have missed it if there was.

Anyways, if I am in the dldb looking for a map, I usually don't want to search by date, I usually search by author or name. So, I'll put that as one of the variable searchy things. If it doesn't appear on the page, I then go to the next one, but it always reverts to searching by date submitted again, so I have to selest author or name again. It's just a little annoying, and I didn't know if it was easy to fix or not.

You have to fill in all the fields in for the search to work correctly.

If a field is in blank it will have no "limit variable"
IE: If you just put "a" in will only search for thigns that start with "A".

Therefore a "blank" is considered as nothing therefore everything fits the search.

It usually brings up results fine, for example, if I set it to search by 'Views' in the Movie/Trailer section of UMS, it will show them fine for that page; A&O Trailer, Kill Me, B.net Experience, etc. But if I press page 2 or 3, it searches by 'Date' again, so my method of searching (I don't usually sort by 'Views,' it was an example) is thrown off, so I have to choose Search by 'Views' or w/e variable I dscide every time I go to another page.

I know what your problem is and I will attempt to repair it.

Don't bother attempting to fix this anymore...
although...
I'm pretty damn positive I had this fixxed at one point.
Anyways, I will be installing that 2.1.6 upgrade sometime today or tomorrow, reapply our old code, revamp the look and code... and if it's still not working at that point... I WILL fix it.

Got any suggestions for the DLDB? Perhaps a "Awesome Melee Map" per Entropy box?
Or maybe you could designate one box in your map spotlights to entropy once he starts bringing all these l33t melee mappers...

I'm currently thinking of removing the category listing off the side navigation bar and just have *all* the categories display when you click "Downloads" in a sexy tree branch design.
-or-
I could do a java scripted branch like the ib power system has... if I knew everyone had java. Maybe I got an idea to counteract that...

Now... besides this one (for previous reasons)... the only known bugs are from the file backup script and code surrounding it... :poke poke:

I'm planning on reserving one of the map spotlight areas for Entropy once we have a steady flow of melee maps coming in.

3 sounds like an effective number anyway.
