I cant make a "new selection inside the sig" check out the sig Here at the bottom Alias is on a "layer selection" that is lighter. how do i do that!?!?!?! Please help!!

doesnt it say, "make a selection(those little Marquee rectangles on it. then on the top theres the menu thing. go to Edit then fill.
Contents:Foreground Color
Mode:Normal
Opacity:30%"

what tool do i use?

and how do i put text i downloaded into adobe so i can use it??

Put your font files in
My Computer- > C: - > WINDOWS - >fonts
Or a path like that.

if you use photoshop theres the tool bar thing, on the top left. select the Top Left Rectangle Marquee Tool. it should say that. if it doesnt say it. right click on it and it should show a drop down menu

Ohhhh. Awesome. One last thing. How do people come up wish/make good backrounds. All mine suck...lol look:

you posted a tutorial that had the queston all ready answerd so this hole topic should be considerd spam.

Press D so it brings everything to Default.

First you make a background(it can be anything).


Next you create a new layer and you take the Polygenic Lasso Tool, hold shift and make a border.


Then you hold Ctrl+Alt and press I. it should make a selection around your background and still contain your border design.


Next you hold Ctrl and press Backspace, not SpaceBar.
It should give you something like this.


You can take the Marquee tool and cut off some pieces of the border if you want by making a selection on it(not the whole border, a piece you want to cut out.) and press Delete.

After you're done cutting out some pieces you can go to the Blending Options and color your Border. Notice I didn't cut any pieces on but my Sig has some pieces cut out(I was in a hurry.)

It is my buisness when you have no constructive critisism for the people who are making an effort to learn new things, what right do you have to tell them they suck and they can't ever learn how to do graphic art, I suggest you have a little more compasion for people around here. And I dont appreciate your negative opinions about my "crappy art" please keep such things to yourself. This is a freindly helpfull community of which you dont seem to understand to well.
