Rename the switches using SC xtra. Before you do this, however, make a backup of your map! Otherwise you risk corrupting your map.

Or you could jsut do as I do, writ down the number of the switch on a peice a paper (I use a sheet) and write next to it what it is. Don't lose your peice of paper though!!

If you're hurting for strings you could do that with locations, and not use comments on strings also.

Ya, I know but when you already placed units or stuff that you can't open in X-tra, you need to do them in Starforge, no other way.
