K Imagine your regular 'ol starcraft RPG you see everyday...

Okay nevermind, screw that...
Imagine an advanced RPG that MOST people are too lazy to make...
(Potions, town system, random quest system, hero, spell/mana/runspeed/etc. upgrades, a world to explore with random events, and semi-story line)

K now picture a good and an evil castle, both manned by human and comp players.

Would an advanced RPG - be worth making 3v3 good vs. evil?

I mean advantages is that it will add more spice and even MORE meaning to an already meaningfull rpg if it were to be all players exploring together...

But the only factor I fear is people hating - building their city for two hours, only to be beaten by evil in the end...
(But don't all vs. games have a loser!?)

Well you can setup modes, example Easy > 50% base built by Triggers, Normal 25% Base, and hard 10% base. Also, i dont like control a huge base same with alot people to much work maintane and stuff. So try not make castle to huge. Also will the " Castle " builders have special spells to cast? like say for 25 seconds, player will gain 8 ore every second untill timer is up, Spell is " Kingdoms Greed " (just example) but sure you get idea. Also, is all players a caslte? or 2 heroes and 1 castle. Hoping different heroes per side for good and evil so not vsing same kind, like in 3v3 Zoid rpg. Anywoot good luck with this idea.

It's not like zoid RPG or a 'built-up' 'maintenence' type RPG...

The only maintenence you'll have to do to your castle is... if EVIL (human) players invade and start killing your buildings (which give effects), then you lost that effect, and have to recollect the resources to get that building back.

Here are a few building "effects". I say castle, but it's more like a city. Good and Evil city.

Training Center - Turns all civilians (which are wandering around the castle), into Militia (they attack any EVIL human's that come in).

Mana Pool - Increase hero's mana regen rate.

Blacksmith - Allow you to use found artifacts to upgrade (upgrading won't be easy in this game).

Spy network - Scouts patrol the city/castle outskirts

stuff like that...

So it's not like a.. "Scv build this, Drone build that" type build up...
It's NOT like a "Magic The Gathering" game, where you stay in your castle and cast spells to the other castle. It's an adventure, the castle is only a tiny portion of the map.

And yes, 3v3, 3 in the good castle/city, 3 in the bad castle/city.
Both cities are nearly exactly the same. The heroes, however are ALL different. Each hero will have a seperate plot, aswell as side quests, aswell as spells... as well as unit ;op.

To answer the last comment... yes there will be a city tax every 12 minutes. Other than that there are a few other ways to make gold.... Purchase a Trade Dock, which will bring in money randomly... Find treasures/chests scattered across the land... complete quests... and killing monsters.

You should make this a mini game instead of an rpg so people don't spend 2 hours building a city only to have it demolsihed. Plus 2 hours is an absurdly long game. Most players I know public and in private games usually cap out on the focus around an hour and a half. Perhaps some content should be cut to make the game 1) pheasable to create 2) enjoyable for the players. Besides that though I think it is possible.

This is exactly the kind of thing ive been hoping somone would make! PM me if i can help in any way. (Im assuming you vie to make this, if not i guess the person who desides to use this would PM me) I do well in testing and make great ideas (ALA my friends) but sadly im useless in the editor.
