When someone quotes THE ENTIRE POST and/or when its DIRECTLY ABOVE it that really pisses me off. I remember telling Yoshi to make the mineral counter ignore quoted text. This is one of my pet peeves, though.

We should make it a rule not to quote spam. That way, people can still make long quotes if they need to. Just warn people who are blatantly spaming, not that many people do it, and it's obvious when they do.

Minerals do not count within quote bb tags. It is not an issue.
We could have it "trim", maybe. I'll see what I can do about that.

How about we add a 2 line piece of code that automatically trims quoted posts to 400 characters? Yes, that saves time if its all automated, and you don't even have to think.

I like BeeR_KeG[eM]'s idea. It would be good that we can quote as much as we want but you can only see about 400 characters of the quote and if you want to read more it will make a new window and show you the whole thing.
Best idea since there might be some important things to quote fully and it won't cause as much annoyance.

I like the 400 character idea, but it screwed me over when I was doing a quote
Usually, people click on reply then cut out all the junk thats not needed in the quote, or separate it over multiple quotes. Only the few who don't are annoying
