Hi, it's me, one of the most active (U) member on b.net of course but here.. im kinda inactive.. i thought of this idea like.. 2hours ago.. thinking of the wonderful Reflector map made by bolt head (and thats why i was asking him how he did his map.. (i mean.. the exact way he did it) so i wanna make a golf map with this concept how it'll works.. is before u hit the golf ball you gotta tell how it'll be reflected (it wont be random like bolt's map) u choose the 3 first direction where it'll go after it touches a machine shop.. at the end of the 3 it stops and its ur next turn the goal is, just like the real golf, put ur ball in the hole with less turn possible (sorry about that way to say the things.. im french) the strategic part in the game is.. u gotta find the way to the hole in the less turn possible since the ball stops after 3 hits of machine shops about the % of machine shops over the map.. it'll be 1/8 or 1/16 or something between this i dont want it too long to get it (like 6 turns max) so if there r too many machine shops... it would be too hard.. so wat do u think?? i wanna do this for winter map contest (ya i know.. i have like 4 days haha)
Just currious did you ever see Eternal(U)'s Golf Map?
I hate the random factor in Bolt Head's map, and was thinking of making a map like this golf idea once, but then I decided no.
Eternal(U)?? i dont even know him.. lol thats why im saying i'm noob.. in fact am not noob.. i'm new in map making where can i find that golf map?? i hope its not the same thing i dont want to copy his map..
What's your Battle.net name Pyro?
I'd pm you but half the people on SEN either won't respond or don't know how...
i know how to answer a pm but thats ok.. i'm LiQuiD(U) come by Clan uUu channel and me and kenoli will be there..
hiya liquid! And good luck. Is this spam? Yes it is. Now I won't make it spam! By saying this:
Do good studies on grid systems. It will come in good shape for a map like this. If you're going into detail with the terrain factor and winds and things like that, the infinite grid system use would be your best bet. Try and make as many directions as you can, but be aware of space. good luck.
Yes, when selecting which direction it will go from the machine shop, you can place a burrowed unit under it. Then using the infinite directional system, you can make the ball go superfast detect when it hits a machine shop, change direction, and continue on!
Sounds very interesting.
Couldn't you have one row and column of units going down each side of the map, and have a long location that extends to the ends of the map and center it on the unit that is moving and tell it to move to the unit that is along the side, within the location.

Eternal is the founder of the old MM clan aka {M~M}M@STER (although Oo.Solar.oO owns that acount now)
