How to get faceless archons, and/or units with no shadows(ONLY FOR THE EXTREMELY DESPARATE):

Get about 1500 peons, and get them all to mine so that they are all holding a mineral chunk. Use up the rest of the unit room untill you get the error "Cannot create unit." even though you get the error, the unit is still created. This unit will have no shadow. If you morph two templars into an archon/dark archon, they will have no face or the things going around it.

Nice find, but when making a serious map I don't think it's worth it to max out the map just to get that effect.

The attachment is not there. And yes the lag was unbearable.

I doubt anyone will ever use this for any advantage. Pretty cool to freak people out but it costs a lot (time, energy, and other stuff). I doubt this will ever be used in any useful way. Nice find though, I congratulate you on it.

Deathknight and I were playing this "money" map, involving masses of probes mining through a maze, and my units started carrying minerals back with no mineral sprite after a while because deathknight had a wall blocking the maze, I'm guessing since all 1000 peons come and go, the sprite limit rises and lowers at a small number, but since he walled, more and more sprites were created.. we still continue the save this day.. it was started in july

we have around 5 hours in that save



By the way that screen shot is a shortcut to the map we started it on.. it was hilarious..

so basically all you did was play a very long map they used up available units and fused two dts.... what brought up that idea? Anywho it does look kinda cool, like a firey explosion that just stays there. Do you think an archon will work this way too?

Yes Archons can do it to. I wonder if any other units get strange glitches. Someone test what happenes when you siege a tank? The turret might not appear ;).

Thats exactly what me and deathk said and tried, but no, it doesn't change the tank sad.gif.

I don't remember if we mentioned this but if you burrow a drone and put a unit on the drone (Or it can be any other burrowable unit) and unburrow the drone, the drone will stack onto the unit..
