I have a map in production that is similar to me WWII: Rising Sun(Downloadable on the Tactical Warfare section if you want to check it out) map, but different in several fundemental ways. First off at the start of the map Player 1 chooses which Campaign to play either 2nd French Indo-China war or the Vietnam Conflict. Next depending on your choice you will fight from battle to battle capturing objectives and trying to inflict as many casualties per battle as you can. Each battle has different objectives for example The La Drang Valley campaign the NVA forces must overun the American Landing zone to win the battle. The Americans on the other hand are tasked with not only defending the LZ but also to try and capture as much outerlying positions as they can...such as the creek bed, and the forward NVA command post. Ever position you take in a battle will carry over to the next battle including any survivng soldiers. An example of how things carry over...say in one battle the US forces capture a vital hidden enemy airfield, the followign battle they will get a small para-trooper drop as an advantage. On the reverse side if NVA forces take a large strategic mountain the next battle they may get triggered artillery strikes on US forces or force the americans to deploy there troops in a loction further from where they normally would and in a much harder to defend position. Every battle outcome will determine which battle you will fight next. It will have a slow combat style and utilize unit reinforcements similar to Fenix'01 civil war maps, however different in the fact at some times your rienforcements will arrive via helicpoters or possibly train/river boats. The many different battle paths and the 2 seperate campaigns will make it a good map with lots of replayabilty for die hard strategic combat fans...especialy those who love the civil war maps but are looking for a modern era type strategic combat system. If any one has any ideas they think might add to the map please post

Sounds good and I know your good at making these type of maps. For the NVA forces you could add tunnel networks and such for there reinforcements and maybe if the Americans in last mission destoryed a Tunnel Network area the NVA will not get as many reinforcements.
