Alright, I felt like making a list of the ideas and crap that I wanted to put into maps. But I suck at making maps. Actualy, why they're here is because I'm hoping
someone will decide they like one or more of the ideas and use them. It's better than releasing a bunch of half-@$$ crappy maps that are half done and hardly tested with the ideas.
A map that's just a big ship arena. You have a "Targetting Redicle" that's an upgraded(running speed) Zergling. Your primary cannon is an instant hit "Laser". No special effects, it just creates a scourge where the Zergling is, IF it's right on an enemy air unit. You can upgrade it to make 3 Scourge or something. You can also buy Energy Blasters, which create various units, depending on how fast the blast is supposed to be. There's one, which is an extremely fast, low damage one that's:
A Zergling appears, and it runs to where the Targetting Redicle WAS when the shot command was issued. Where it WAS, there's a Zerg egg or something. The Zergling that is the WEAPON BOLT runs to the egg. If it encounters an enemy ship, it dies and creates so many Scourgies.
Guided Rocket:
This follows the Targetting Redicle.
You can choose different ships. You can also get a "Stealth Redicle" which is a DT that people can't detect. They CAN see it, however, because, of course, cloaks make that wierd distortion effect. Or you can use the permenant cloak trick on a special bought redicle, to get an expensive targeting redicle that's CLOAKED.
For Rp's, you BUILD units instead of SPAWNING them(excepting heroes and such of coursE). Faster to make, faster than spawning, less triggers.
For Defense games, have it so that no1 can enter or pass each other's areas without permission, which is granted with a Civilian and a bunch of Beacons. The player moves his Civ to Red's beacon, Red can enter/pass. Just an example.
Scourge bullets.
Thief/Assassin map where your units are crappy as hell, but they're almost always cloaked ones, long range ones, or fast ones. The objective is not to kill, it's to avoid combat.
Card dueling map in which you choose from a certain selection of cards, each one costing so much. Each card has its own special attacks, and different attacks from different cards do different damage to different cards, I.E. Swordsman slashes Stone Golem, and because it's stone, which can't be cut well, it takes very little damage, while as if the enemy has Slug(these are just example cards) it's near 1-hit kill.
