Missing mscomctl.ocxDownload the common controls from
here. Install the OCX file to your windows\system32 directory.
Missing comdlg32.ocxDownload the control from
here. Save the OCX file to your windows\system32 directory. You may need to register the control if simply placing it in your system folder does not fix the problem. Do this by selecting "Run" from the start menu and typing the following (without quotes): "regsvr32 comdlg32.ocx"

Missing msvbvm60.dllDownload the visual basic 6 runtime from
here.
Starforge cannot find a required data fileYou will be asked to locate any file inside the data folder. If you followed the defaults during installation, this will be located at C:\program files\starforge\data. Make sure not to pick a data file from an older installation of Starforge. If you continue to receive this error, do the following:
Open Regedit (Start->Run, type "regedit" and hit enter)
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/StarForge
Delete the entire StarForge folder
Attempt to run Starforge again.
If you still encounter this problem, then uninstall Starforge via the Add/Remove Programs control panel. Follow the steps above again, and then install Starforge again.
Runtime Error 11 on opening or creating mapsGo to start->Run->"regedit"
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Starforge
Change GridX and GridY to a positive non-zero number.
