I was going to post this a long time ago, but forgot.

I found several glitches with this where you can browse your entire harddrive for maps instead of just <starcraft folder>/maps/.

If you kill P19's units the characters will change, and if they lose them all, the effect should end.
No, on my map you can kill them all and be stuck with one of the color codes.
It is always 3 characters, unless maybe a Null gets shoved in there.
My map has one option to remove it without having to restart StarCraft.
Everyone dropping in my map is normal. Just to warn you.
ADDITION:
Color in Starcraft and Battle.net are just ASCII codes between 1 and 31. This will put random (not random, but it seems so) ASCII characters into any null string, and sometimes will include a colored byte. This is the same colors for StarEdit and all that.
Also just exiting Battle.net does not remove this, you have to exit Starcraft completely or use the option in my map.
It does not have to be Sprites, I use just normal units.
Bah, so many edits and Additions >< I was just adding as I read the topic.
If you have ever played with me and I was typing color, that map I posted is why.
I still need to find the rest of the colors. With some older versions you wont get colors. I made this map actually over year ago, but recently found that with the latest patch(es) that specific map allowed multiple colors and updated it.
