I put this in my RPG that im making. You make your hero do 0 damage and it can be used to Taunt or lure(2 or 3 Heroes in my Rpg = Ghost). The weapons can be units.
For example:
-Dark templar - Heavy Blade
-Zealot - Dagger
-Ghost or tank - arrows / balista
You make these units appear when theres a enemy near you. Like a location about 16x16 lets say? And you can upgrade it or buy a new weapon.
And lets say one character is a sword user and another is an archer.
When you buy a weapon with a sword user you cant buy any bow and the archer cant buy a sword.
Also you make the units always stay near your hero(es)
And you can repair it
2 ways of durability:
The sloppy way - At a certain amount of kill you cant use weapon
or
HP wise - The weapon has 255 armor (+255 if heroes dont get affected) and a certain amount of HP. When it is about to die you gotta go repair it or lose it or when it dies u gotta repair.

16x16 = you can just walk into them, no lure required? lol. Odd idea, end of comment.

You should make weapons invinicible (sp) so that the enemys will rush your character. Also center a location on your hero so the weapon can't go too far away.

Makes me think of an rpg or something where one person gets the enemies to attack, one person acts as a sheild taking damage, and the third person kills the enemy.

I dunno, they could solve puzzles with enemies in them or something.

Yeah i already did enemy rush to character
The center location on hero is already said - ("Also you make the units always stay near your hero(es)")

The problem with these type of things, is that when a computer gets hit by something it can't hit back, it will move back if nothing that it can attack is attacking it (or at least I think it's something similar to that). So even though your civilian is there, once the weapon attacks they will probably try to move away.

There is a map like that. There is one marine, each player has a special ability.
Red = Immune to Fire
Blue = Offense
Teal = Defense
White = Can activate switches

It's fun with good people

Make sure that the hero has life stats while the weapon is unkillable.
