Planned / Accepted suggestions
-Unit snap in copy paste <- DONE
-Select multiple rectangles in copy paste mode <- DONE
-Select random shapes in copy paste mode
-Jump from selected unit to unit properties (maybe)
-Stack # input
-Fix trigedit player autocomplete order <- seems to require windows XP so canceled tongue.gif
-Fix delete / backspace in autocomplete <- being a real female dog sad.gif
-Implement actual cloak effect
-Find excuse to use actual cloak effect

-Focus is now set to the tileset palette once you click a tile to allow mouse scroll.

And make it multiline, and maybe some other advanced text editor functions like wildcards and stuff.

Add a basic text trigger duplicator.

I was looking for suggestions for scmdraft, not for DW's trigedit wink.gif

When you mentioned that you redid the string editor, there now isn't a bug that causes the strings to scramble when you start a map on X-tra editor then switch to SCMD2 after you hit the string limit, right?

Can you have it so when you open another unit list (when you select units to be placed) the one you have already opened closes, like in normal Staredit?

For some reason Starforge cuts doodads in half when it open maps sometimes

(I have had it happen when opening maps that I was using scmdraft or x-tra to make doodads)

Maybe as an option, I like having them stay open myself.

There is a tileset palette. Also if you want you can convert doodads to terrain, just select them, right click, hit convert to terrain.
Do me a favor and make sure it isn't already in scmdraft before suggesting something wink.gif

You should concider making the tileset index bigger its annoying to need to resize it all the time when your working with it

Resize the side. It'll stretch out.

Yeah but whenever you gotta open the pallate you need to do that and its kinda an inconvienence unlike sf's which is always big enough to see the tiles well

Well, I bet SI could make the bigger size the default and still allow resizing it. Maybe even an option to set the default?

If I had a dollar for everytime someone didn't find the tileset palette or didn't manage to resize it I would be so rich

Well, the thing about strings is that...lemme give an example.

So then I started a map on X-tra Editor. Everything was fine until I hit the string limit. I switched to using SCMD2. I continued adding more dialog in the trigger editor, basically adding more strings. I then tested the map and the strings are completely scrambled. As in a unit's name is, "Watch out. The swamp is quite dangerous" or something of that sort. And some of the dialog text have been switched to force names.

Oh, now I remember the exact problem. Basically, the auto-recycling of strings wasn't working properly, because it didn't distinguish strings from one section from another. So anyways, I hope you fixed that problem and perhaps allowed users to disable auto-recycling if they choose to or something in the new release.

that's because SCMD2 and Xtra handle strings differently. only touch strings in one editor and you'll be fine.

here is something you might want to add for final version maybe a wav editor like in sound recorder execpt it is in scm draft2 so you can cheat plus be lazy shifty.gif
also maybe have a simpler trigger editor more like xtra editors i no you have one like it but it still likes to be a pain like you got to double click to make sure it stays on what you want and also you got units just all open you don't have them in groups on the classic trigger editor so ya thats a idea smile.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Zeratul_101 on 2006-11-14 at 01:28:43
about the unit-selection menu on the left side. do you think you could make it customizable? as in not showing certain units/'folders'? or a choice between using SCMD2's standard layout, or use SE's layout instead?

Why do you suggest this, it works fine for me already

The unit names if u overlap them or add colours in front of them get screwd up when triggering them. Also im not a fan of the "terran/zerg/protoss" in front of the units
