Are you making a joke? Sunken Colonies can't be detectors.

man is you a fool. sunken colonies aint no detectors.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by iHaveNoRegrets on 2007-01-25 at 12:56:56
disable them and they cant detect biggrin.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Vampiir on 2007-01-25 at 15:19:11
thats frikin retarded, if i disable it, wtf is the point of placing it? And BTW, my bad lol... i thought sunkens were detectors l0l but i realize thy arent!

You could always replace photon cannons with (Fenix) dragoons and prevent them from moving out of place.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Vampiir on 2007-01-25 at 17:42:23
Yeah but isnt their range cut down? or is it same?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by xmrxsiegecopx on 2007-01-25 at 18:04:14
Yes; photon cannons have a max range of 7 while dragoons have a range of 4/6 with singularity charge, meaning only terran ghosts (and artillery units) can outrange them.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Vampiir on 2007-01-25 at 18:05:31
hmm... ok... so for the no-move, make a trigger that moves units constantly outside the map? correct?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by xmrxsiegecopx on 2007-01-25 at 18:11:12
That would disable their attacking capabilities. It's best to trap them with unwalkable terrain or or to move them back into location when they move or every few seconds.

Actually I believe that they can still attack when they are set to move to a location out of the map.

They can't be hurt though.

He means disable doodad state. When used on units other than doodads it can have some strange effects, such as making cloaked buildings and so on.

No, I was just being retarded. But you may never know, try fooling with the doodad states.

Doodad states aren't magic.

Just use a Dragoon or don't mind the Detector setting at all.

Moving all dragoons to an unwalkable location would do the trick; they could still attack. Only problem is is that it makes them now extremely hard to hurt as well.

Besides that, no, you can't turn off detector status on a usable photon cannon, and you can't make sunkens detectors wink.gif

But... if you really want to make photon cannons non-detectors, try the mod section of these forums. smile.gif

Agreed mod pwns.
Question: Is crystalic cannon detectors?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by CheatEnabled on 2007-01-26 at 14:54:38
Yeah, crystallic cannons detect too. Or at least they did when I tested them on Dark Templars.

Héhé, try that :
Put a Sunken with a location on it.
Each second, create and remove an observer over him.
And to make it like Detector yellow text... ain't there a trick to put a text at the bottom (we can stack them, why couldn't we just put them down)?

Vampiir, ignore the crazy modders, they'll lead you astray.
